Frequently
Asked
Questions

  • We service Lake Macquarie, northern Central Coast, Newcastle and The Hunter. For more details find suburbs here.

  • No, you do not have to be home at the time of delivery or collection. We will ask for delivery instructions at the time of booking and if the driver has any concerns/questions upon delivery, they will contact you to discuss your options.

  • If you have a specific delivery time required please let us know at the time of booking and we will do our utmost to accommodate your needs where time, planning and traffic allows.

  • Newcastle City Council require permits when a bin is places on public land or council owned property. If you have the bin placed on your property, then no fee applies. At this stage permits are not required in Lake Macquarie or Central Coast Councils.

  • Preferably inside your property on a level surface. Our drivers are happy to work with you to discuss your options for the best and safest placement when they arrive to your site. Deliveries to commercial properties should be verified with the strata.

  • Bins should not be moved as they may no longer be accessible for collection. Additionally moving the bins risks causing damage to either your property or the bin itself, both of which you will be liable for.

  • We recommend a days notice. If you are planning ahead or want to ensure you get a bin at particularly busy times, like before a long weekend, more notice is always better. We can often get same day deliveries done in our local area but cannot guarantee them.

Similarly, 24 hours notice is required for collections.

  • The hire period for all our bins, except our building bins, is 7 days. Our building bins hire period is for 4 weeks as we know renovations can often take longer that expected. If you think you will need the skip longer than the hire period, please discuss it with us at the time of booking.

  • Payment is required on the day of delivery. For building and asbestos bins, payment by card is required. All other bins types can be paid with cash on delivery, with card over the phone or via EFT (payment must be made prior to day of delivery).

If you would like to apply for an account (which includes longer payment terms and on call bins with no extra hire charges), please send us an email by clicking here.

  • To comply with NSW road safety rules the bin should not be filled above the top of the bin as it is not safe to transport. If the bin is overfilled, the excess will need to be removed before the bin can be collected which may result in additional charges.

  • As the hirer of the bin you are solely responsible for what goes into it. We recommend having the skip placed inside of the property (eg. on the driveway or on the front lawn) and to cover with a tarp to restrict access and deter others from using it.

  • Weight inclusions are only applicable to building waste bins due to the heavier nature of the waste. We highly recommend using separate masonry bins on building/renovations sites to recycle the heavier items which will massively reduce any additional waste charges.

  • We cannot accept liquids of any kind (including paint), wet concrete, hazardous chemicals or food waste. Asbestos is only allowed in specified asbestos waste bins.

  • Due to additional charges at the tip face, we need to charge additional fees for the following:

    Mattresses – $50 each

    Tyres – $40 each

    Gas Bottles – $20 each
